The Best Dressed Stars at the 2020 SAG Awards

There seems to be a lot of overlap between people whose talent is being recognized and people who have great style.

Even though the Screen Actors Guild Awards may not be the most prestigious or high-profile event of award season, it’s still attended by the buzziest names in TV and film, and right now there seems to be a lot of overlap between people whose talent is being recognized and people who have great style.

Halfway through award season, we still aren’t sick of seeing what people like Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Margaret Qualley and Zoë Kravitz wear to these things. Is it just that the top stylists succeeded in being paired with the top actors before this all kicked off? Who’s to say.

For this Sunday’s seemingly low-pressure event, stars and their stylists either chose to relax and have fun or go with something easy and classic. Kravitz took our breath away with her timeless, very Hepburn-esque Oscar de la Renta look while Waller-Bridge got adventurous with a sparkly Armani Privé cape. Sophie Turner, Cynthia Erivo and Kaitlyn Dever all packed a punch in hot-pink gowns. New kids on the proverbial block Lili Reinhart and Sadie Sink wore Miu Miu, a brand that knows how to identify and choose emerging fashion darlings to dress. And Jennifer Lopez, Gwendoline Christie and Winona Ryder all offered evidence that black need not be boring.
