Following many, many years of straightening my hair with chemicals and heat, I’ve come a long way in accepting and nurturing its natural curly texture. But my hair journey hasn’t been entirely linear: On occasion, when the mood for smoother strands strikes, I’ll give myself a blowout instead of letting it air dry.
Since college, I’ve relied on different versions of blow dryers with rounded brush attachments, and I recently came in possession of my favorite one yet: T3’s Aire 360 Ceramic Air Styler, which, I’m told, became the hair-care brand’s highest dollar volume launch in history after hitting shelves this summer — and with good reason.
The full Blowout Kit comes with four professional-grade attachments: a “drying concentrator” for rapid rough-drying, an oval brush with a ceramic surface and two ceramic curling attachments that each rotate in different directions.

Importantly, the device has three settings for both heat level and speed, allowing the user to adjust for their hair type and desired effect. I start with damp (and heat-protected) hair and use the brush attachment on the highest heat and speed settings, which straightens out and dries my 3A/B curls faster than any similar tool I’ve tried. The bristles provide excellent tension — crucial in getting hair smooth — and there’s something about the physical length of the tool that makes it particularly easy to reach every section without straining my (admittedly very weak) arms.
Sometimes I’ll leave it at that — the result is surprisingly shiny and frizz-free without additional styling — or I’ll use the hair-gathering curling wand attachments (a perfect solve for my lifelong inability to use a traditional curling iron without burning myself) to add some texture back in. Yes, straightening hair only to curl it again might sound nuts, but the girls who get it (I’m looking at you, Sarah Jessica Parker), get it.
Perhaps even more satisfying and luxurious than the device’s quality and many functions is the accompanying pink vegan leather carrying case it comes with, featuring pockets for each attachment — a dream for those of us who crave neat organization in our bathrooms and suitcases.
