The Street Style Crowd Wore Plenty of Polka Dots at Paris Couture Week

Is this spotty motif already replacing fashion’s ubiquitous leopard print?

Move over, leopard print. According to the street style crowd at Couture Week Fall 2019 in Paris, it looks like polka dots are trying to win back the top spot for fashion’s favorite spotty motif.

While some of our favorite luxury houses, from Chanel and Valentino to Givenchy and Dior, debuted their latest haute couture creations, we couldn’t help but notice how showgoers took on plenty of different takes on the classic polka-dot print, including colorful party-ready frocks and more summer-friendly, all-white midi and maxi dresses. Though most of these ensembles were dressed up with heels — it’s couture week, after all — some folks took a more casual approach with a fresh pair of sneakers, which goes to show just how versatile this classic and beloved print can be.
