This year’s Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards were like no other. The 2024’s ceremony marked the first since the resolution of the 2023 SAG-AFTRA union strike, and talents across film and TV displayed a particular jubilance on the red carpet. Their fashion choices were similarly festive and playful.
Despite it being the middle of awards season and fashion month — or, one of the busiest times for celebrities and their stylists — they still managed to pull off creative looks and noteworthy archival pulls. Maddie Ziegler led the vintage charge in a ruffled dress from Alexander McQueen‘s Spring 2003 collection. Others sported their movie colors like a mascot: Margot Robbie channeled “Barbie” in pink Schiaparelli couture, while Danielle Brooks wore “The Color Purple” in a Christian Siriano ensemble. The menswear looks were fun, too. Cillian Murphy put on pinstripes and a silk lavaliere, courtesy of Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello, while Colman Domingo donned a dapper, blush-pink suit with criss-cross lapels by Off-White.
