Including spring-y floral scents, curl-defining hair gel and skin-replenishing moisturizing masks.

Each month, Fashionista editors try a *lot* of beauty products. And while not every formula we test is a winner, we’re constantly unearthing new favorites. Here, we’ve rounded up our latest hair, skin, fragrance, wellness and makeup discoveries — whether fresh-to-market drops or merely recent additions to our personal routines.
Fewer snowy days and increasingly drizzly skies can only mean one thing: Spring is here. But no amount of rain will keep team Fashionista from finding a whole new range of makeup and wellness products to test out (including a waterproof mascara that keeps things smudge-free, even amid all that precipitation).
Other finds that have officially made our list of new beauty favorites? In March, we discovered a lightweight foundation that practically melts into skin, multipurpose concealer that instantly brightens undereyes and daily sunscreen that doesn’t leave behind that dreaded white cast.

Roz The Foundation Duo Shampoo & Conditioner $72, available here: “I’ve been a longtime admirer of hairstylist Mara Roszak, who works with celebrities like Zoe Saldaña and Michelle Yeoh. The effort she put into developing her namesake hair-care brand is clear from the quality and performance of the formulas. I’m particularly obsessed with the ultra-gentle shampoo and conditioner, which rely on natural surfactants, peptides and ceramides to smooth and strengthen hair. Bonus: They work on all hair types and smell incredible — like an airy, sun-drenched flower-and-herb garden.” —Stephanie Saltzman, Beauty Director

Glossier Invisible Shield Water-Gel Transparent Sunscreen, $25, available here: “I’ve been testing out a few SPFs to see if any could compete with my beloved Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen, and had been mostly striking out until I picked up Glossier’s Invisible Shield Water-Gel Transparent Sunscreen at Sephora. The brand describes it as feeling “like a serum,” which feels right: The translucent jelly-like formula goes on easy (and you don’t have to worry about white cast!) and isn’t greasy at all.” —Ana Colón, Deputy Editor

Baebody Collagen Micellar Face Cleanser, $15, available here: “This micellar water cleanser gets rid of everything from lip stains to extra-thick layers of mascara, all without the need for a sink. My skin doesn’t feel too dry and tight after, either, thanks to the addition of hyaluronic acid.” —Liza Sokol, Sr. Audience Development Manager

Laura Mercier Real Flawless Weightless Perfecting Foundation, $48, available here: “I have never really been a foundation-wearer because of how heavy they tend to feel on my face. However, as someone who enjoys other Laura Mercier products, I decided to give this new formula a shot. It genuinely looks like my skin (but better), and lives up to its weightless claims.” —Brooke Frischer, Contributing Writer

Elorea The Forgotten Words Discovery Set, $33, available here: “I love switching up my perfumes, so this discovery set allows me to experiment and try different scents. The fragrances use native Korean ingredients like perilla leaf and ginseng, making for unique blends. As someone who doesn’t like overpowering smells, I appreciate that every fragrance in this set is subtly sweet — perfect for layering and everyday wear.” —Angela Wei, Staff Writer

Eucerin Original Healing Soothing Repair Cream, $5, available here: “It’s far from sexy, but this ultra-dense, paste-like hand cream has never let me down. My hands are chronically dry from lots of washing, and this rich formula soothes them and seals in moisture with emollients.” —Andrea Bossi, Staff Writer

Bread Beauty Supply Hair Gel: Long Wear-Wear Curl Capturing Gloss, $26, available here: “I’ve always avoided hair gels, in fear that any hair-locking formula wouldn’t mesh well with my texture. But when I came across this one by Bread Beauty Supply, I knew there was no turning back. I apply it after wetting my hair, followed by air drying. The results are almost immediate, and my curls have never been so defined yet still tamed. It also cuts my morning hair routine time almost in half — which I’m certainly not complaining about.” —Janelle Sessoms, Editorial Intern

Abel Golden Neroli Eau de Parfum, $165, available here: “I’ve never considered myself a floral fragrance person, but this juicy, bright, spring-y scent has completely changed that philosophy. You definitely get the vibrant, slightly sweet neroli — but it’s balanced by notes of matcha, ylang ylang, petitgrain and then bolstered with a santal base to keep things grounded and mellow. The result is exactly what I crave, scent-wise, this time of year.” —SS

Benefit Cosmetics The Porefessional Get Unblocked Makeup-Removing Cleansing Oil, $39, available here: “I have always been a makeup wipe girl, but this cleansing oil has changed my nightly routine for good. Unlike many other oil-based removers, it does not feel slippery or greasy and leaves my skin feeling clean, even before I fully wash my face. I can see all of my makeup dissolving away when I use it, which is the best part.” —BF

Milk Makeup Kush Waterproof Mascara, $28, available here: “I’m pretty fortunate when it comes to being satisfied with my natural lashes, but every now and then I’ll do some touch-ups with volumizing mascara. Waterproof mascaras can be a hit or miss, but this one definitely lives up to the hype, as my face remains smudge-free — even under torrential spring downpours.” —JS

Valmont Moisturizing With a Mask, $210, available here: “When it comes to skin, I’m extremely #blessed, in that I don’t really run into that many issues, other than the occasional breakout, and maybe some dryness here and there. But during particularly busy periods, like fashion month, I can fall into the bad habit of neglecting my (already minimal) routine — and this season, my skin really felt it. My first step in resetting was a good cleanse (currently loving Byoma’s jelly cleanser) and then doing Valmont’s Moisturizing with a Mask. I like it because, as the name suggests, it feels like a moisturizer when you put it on (so my face doesn’t feel frozen), and is intensely hydrating without feeling too heavy. It’s not super flashy, either, but definitely luxurious.” —AC

Huda Beauty Creamy Kohl Longwear Eye Pencil in Very Vanta, $21, available here: “One of the reasons I will never fully escape my Tumblr years is because I love a dark waterline, and this offering from Huda Beauty slides on gracefully without tugging. It also stays put, is as black as black gets and is retractable, so there’s no need for a sharpener that you always wind up losing. (Is that just me?)” —LS

Not Your Mother’s Tapioca Clean Freak Dry Shampoo in Warm Sugar, $9, available here: “I adore the warm sugar scent of this dry shampoo — but the fact that it doesn’t leave white flecks in my black hair is even better.” —LS

Merit Flush Balm Cream Blush in Beverly Hills, $28, available here: “I appreciate products that make my makeup routine as quick as possible, but also look good, feel good and stay in place. I find myself coming back to Merit’s blush a lot: I use a few dabs of the cream formula on each cheek, as well as touch on the lips, and then blend it out with my finger.” —AB

Dedcool Hand + Body Wash in Milk, $28, available here: “Dairy milk is among my least favorite of earthly substances, so while I don’t enjoy the name of this hand-and body wash, the negatives truly end there for me. I have the delicately sweet, sudsy-yet-gentle formula stashed in my bathroom as hand soap, and it makes me genuinely look forward to washing my hands. The fragrance profile combines bergamot with white musk and amber (nothing cow-derived here) for a scent intended to smell ‘like you, but better.’ Plus, it’s spiked with grape seed, sweet almond and coconut oils to keep skin moisturized.” —SS

Child Perfume Oil Roll On, $68, available here: “This uplifting blend of jasmine, tuberose, orange blossom and magnolia makes for a scent that I truly can’t get enough of (seriously, I can’t stop sniffing my wrists).” —JS

Golde Original Turmeric Latte Blend, $29, available here: “Turmeric has a long list of health benefits, namely reducing inflammation and providing antioxidant protection, so I’d been wanting to explore ways to incorporate it into my diet. This powdered latte mix, which also includes ginger, cinnamon and coconut milk, is so delicious (and made even better by a dribble of agave) and left me feeling more energized.” —AB

Undefined R&R Sun Serum-SPF 50, $28, available here: “This serum gives my skin a glow-y finish, plus has SPF 50 from 12% zinc oxide, a mineral sunscreen. I like to either wear it alone or under a lightweight foundation.” —AW

Tweezerman Clean Sole Foot Scrubber, $26, available here: “This foot scrubber — which comes complete with a detachable pumice stone — sticks to the bottom of your shower, making it easy to slough off whatever’s going on with your heels, comfortably, without having to bend down, and without any extra cleanup.” —LS

Beautyblender Bounce Always On Radiant Skin Tint, $29, available here: “For my everyday makeup, I tend to reach for tints rather than full-coverage foundations. I’ve been mixing this one it with a luminizing primer for a really natural, glow-y effect. I also love that, if I do want more coverage, it’s also totally buildable without becoming cakey.” —BF

Benefit Cosmetics 24-Hour Brow Setter Clear Brow Gel with Lamination Effect, $26, available here: “I typically reach for brow waxes, since I feel like they’re the only formulas that really hold the individual hairs in place. But I tried this brush-on gel on a whim, and I haven’t had to touch up my brows throughout the day once. Now I never leave the house without using it.” —BF

Jurlique Rose Hand Cream For Dry Hands, $39, available here: “As a loyal devotee of Bath and Body Works lotion, it takes a lot to pry me away toward something else, but alas, Jurlique has done what many skin-care brands have failed to do: Entice me to fall in love with a new lotion. It keeps my hands incredibly soft, not to mention it has a lovely floral scent (I’ll spare you from “The Devil Wears Prada” quote I really want to insert in here).” —JS

Fara Homidi Smudge and Contour Lip Pencil in Doux, $36, available here: “Makeup artist Fara Homidi launched her eponymous makeup line this month with a tight edit of lip-centric products, and this velvety, blendable lip pencil is a highlight for me. The shade Doux is a muted, dusty rose that’s a near-perfect match to my natural lip color, but with a little more oomph. I love that it has a velvety, almost suede-like finish without reading chalky or overly matte — it’s ideal for creating the blurred-edge, blended-out lip looks I tend to favor.” —SS

Naked Sundays Hydrating Glow Mist SPF 50+, $30, available here: “I’m always a little wary of “touch up” sunscreens but this Naked Sundays mist is the real deal. Whatever’s already on my face doesn’t peel or budge and nothing gets dried out thanks to a mix of hydrating ingredients.” —LS
