Megan Thee Stallion just had another hot girl moment on the red carpet.
At the 2023 CMT Awards (which celebrate country music excellence), she wore a floor-length cobalt gown with an irresistible hip cutout, custom-made for her by emerging Italian fashion brand Defaïence. Geometric in nature, the cutout is connected to the rest of the dress by an oversized white triangular buckle that hangs off the hip.
Any fashion item involving — or, better yet, emphasizing a low hip is known to cause angst. (Think: low-rise jeans.) But Meg made this dress look like too much fun. Styled by Law Roach (who shared on Instagram that the look was originally made as an option for the 2023 Grammys), the rapper matched her hoop earrings, cuff bracelet and nails to the statement buckle.
The Chicago-born image architect and Texas-raised rapper have been a powerhouse pair lately: Besides this knockout Defaïence dress, Roach recently put Megan in a beautiful Paco Rabanne two-piece inspired by a look from the Spring 1997 collection.
One thing the rapper will do is show out, give body and flaunt her elegance — and this gown did just that.
