Founder: Jules Miller

Origin Story: Jules Miller founded The Nue Co. in 2017. In her early 20s, she was diagnosed with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). After trying various treatments, she discovered that the solution lay in her diet. She dove into the world of nutrition and natural remedies, eventually developing her own natural supplement routine that helped manage her IBS symptoms.

Fast-forward a few years of working in the supplement industry, and she noticed a glaring issue: a lack of transparency and effectiveness. She saw an opportunity to create a brand that was transparent, effective and focused on natural ingredients — and thus, The Nue Co. was born.

“Nue means stripped back or naked,” says Miller. “That’s what I wanted our philosophy to be centered around, a non-negotiable approach to pure, efficacious ingredients.” Miller’s mother was an herbalist and her grandfather was a chemist, so she’d learned about many facets of the industry growing up. “I felt like I had so much to offer to the category, and in all honesty, there was no job out there that really spoke to me, so I decided to create one,” she says.
