The Balenciaga Haute Couture Show Was Practically a Mother-Off

The VIP bookings team at Balenciaga understood what the people wanted and came to deliver: The front row at the brand’s Fall 2024 Haute Couture show, to put it shortly, was the epitome of a mother-off. (Plus, a side battle of the bobs.) 

On Wednesday, Balenciaga‘s haute couture runway became an unofficial high-fashion mother convention, in a literal and figurative sense: Naomi Watts — who stunned in an ivory sculpted top, pencil skirt and curled bob — attended alongside her child, Kai Schreiber; Nicole Kidman reportedly brought her kid, Sunday Rose Kidman Urban, too, while sporting a black sparkly maxi dress. Meanwhile, mother of Brat Summer Charli XCX opted for a black monochrome moment consisting of a sleeveless shirt dress, tights, pointed-toe pumps and sunglasses. Queen mother and brand ambassador Michelle Yeoh donned a floor-length black trench coat and flouncy bob.
