Lindsay Lohan stars in new Peter Thomas Roth ad
Lindsay Lohan‘s comeback continues — this time, with a beauty ad spot. She stars in a new campaign for Peter Thomas Roth‘s Hydra-Gel eye patches, which you can watch below. In it, she’s seen manning the Peter Thomas Roth Eye-Conic Eye Patch Hotline (dressed to match her eye patches, of course), which people can actually reach at 1-844-EYE-CONS. (Alas, you’ll only get a pre-recorded special message, not Lohan herself.) “I’ve been a fan of Peter Thomas Roth for years and their eye patches have become a staple in my daily routine,” she said, in a statement. “I’ve tried countless eye patches on set and off, and these are my absolute favorite because they leave my under-eyes looking bright and refreshed.” {Fashionista Inbox}

The rise of men’s luxury bags
For Vogue Business, Lucy Maguire reports on the post-pandemic shift of luxury bags as the new accessory men are investing in. The interest in luxury bags goes beyond traditional masculine styles such as briefcases — totes, crossbodies, hand clutches and crescent bags are just a few of the more adventurous styles that are also in demand. “On one end there’s a new set of men into designer and luxury brands, with bags being an integral part of the offering from labels like Tom Ford and Bottega Veneta,” said Jian DeLeon, men’s fashion director at Nordstrom. “On the other end is a more hip, fashion-fluent customer who gravitates towards of-the-moment bags from brands like Prada, Amiri, Off-White, Virgil Abloh’s Louis Vuitton collections and Telfar.” {Vogue Business/paywalled}

British Vogue claims top spot in Launchmetrics’ glossy magazine rankings
British Vogue claims the top spot in terms of beauty, luxury and fashion advertising, according to Launchmetrics’ ranking of the top 20 glossy magazines. Vogue Italia comes in number two, followed by American VogueHarper’s Bazaar U.S. and Marie Claire Korea. When evaluated by share of voice, British Vogue had the highest percentage at 8.5% compared to American Vogue‘s 6%. Per WWD, the share of voice “calculates the percentage of advertising pages captured by a magazine out of the total advertising pages,” best demonstrating “a publisher’s ability to effectively attract advertisers.” Launchmetrics also found that editorial print coverage increased by 5% in the first 2023 quarter compared to the same period in 2022. {WWD/paywalled}
