Miu Miu Is Once Again the World's Hottest Brand for Q3

Lyst is back with its quarterly ranking of the top trending and most sought-after brands and products. Though Loewe took over Miu Miu‘s usual number-one position in Q2, the Miuccia Prada-led brand has knocked the Spanish label back into second place and reclaimed its crown as the world’s hottest brand for the third quarter of 2024.

In the last few months, Miu Miu launched a series of pop-up stores across Asia, released a Fall 2024 campaign starring Cara Delevingne and premiered its latest short film at the Venice Film Festival in August; plus, its Arcadie Suede bag ranked fourth among the quarter’s hottest products — all leading to a 30% increase in searches for the brand this quarter. Though its status remains impressive, the worldwide desire for all things Miu Miu isn’t exactly new. What is new is the commercial success of Alaïa, which rose 51% in searches in Q3 and jumped 12 spots to become the fifth-hottest brand.

One year after its viral studded ballerina flats ranked among the hottest products in Q2 of 2023, the much-loved shoe silhouette has kept its momentum, with the fishnet version topping the list this quarter. Also on the list are Alaïa’s Teckel (an “It” item we predicted would be trending this season) and Le Coeur bags, embraced by celebrities like Emily Ratajkowski and Camila Cabello, to name a couple. Stars are embracing Pieter Mulier’s Alaïa designs more on the red carpet, too, with Jennie Kim, Selena Gomez and Ariana Grande making up just a handful of the brand’s recent clients.

The brand with the most sizable increase on The Lyst Index, though, is Ralph Lauren, boasting a 151% bump in product engagement this quarter thanks to its Team USA uniforms at this summer’s Olympics ceremony and multiple activations at Wimbledon and the U.S. Open. As a result, the brand makes its first appearance on the list at number 14. Other newcomers include Toteme (#16), Victoria Beckham (#19) and Chloé (#20).

Aside from Toteme, other indie brands making waves on the index include the Cophenhagen-based label NN.07 (up 142% in demand), Entire Studios (up 54% in demand) and Stone Island (up 28% in demand).
