We already noted that the weather has been rather lovely during Milan Fashion Week — so much so that showgoers are starting to dip into their spring wardrobes, readily baring their legs in mini skirts, often sans tights. But that’s not the only skin-showing street-style trend that emerged during the week: The fashion crowd also really leaned into exposing their top halves via bra tops.
These ultra-cropped crop tops don’t just expose a bare midriff — they take things up a notch (literally), putting even more torso skin on full display. Most showgoers dabbling in this trend chose to style bra tops beneath an open, oversized jacket, blazer or button-down shirt. Where they differed, though, was in the bra shape, color and fabrication: We spotted lacy black triangle bras, denim bralettes, nude bandeaus, sporty U-shaped silhouettes, maximalist paillette-covered styles and even traffic-cone-orange statement pieces.
