Michelle Obama's Latest Excellent Suit Is Custom Sergio Hudson

Even outside of the White House, Former First Lady Michelle Obama remains one of the best-dressed political figures of the 21st century. Her latest look supports this claim: On Saturday in Pennsylvania, Obama stepped out at a Kamala Harris and Tim Walz campaign rally donning head-to-toe Sergio Hudson

“Our Forever FLOTUS @michelleobama in custom 3-piece pinstripe suit inspired by Sergio Hudson SS25 menswear last night, it never gets old dressing this amazing superwoman,” Hudson wrote on Instagram. (Obama wore the designer to the 2021 Presidential Inauguration in addition to other appearances.)

Styled by Meredith Koop, the grey suit consists of a padded-shoulder blazer, drop-waist corset top and wide-leg slacks. Accessorizing the suit were simple drop earrings, an array of chunky silver rings and nude heels. Smokey eyeshadow and a nude lip, framed by her long, loose curls completed her look.

Given its menswear tinge, we couldn’t help but notice the look is well-aligned with next year’s Black dandyism-themed Costume Institute Exhibit. (Stylists, please take notes for the Met Gala red carpet.)

With election day upon us, Obama’s recent appearances are inspiring voters both politically and sartorially.

But seriously, please vote.
