We hardly know where to begin. GoT just ended forever, and these Game of Thrones series finale fan tweets are just too much for us to handle. Going in, we always knew that we wouldn’t be entirely satisfied no matter how David Benioff and D.B. Weiss ended Thrones. After, all we’ve been through thick and thin with these beloved characters for eight seasons. We’ve watched them live, love, lose, grow and change.
Since Game of Thrones is based on George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire book series–many book readers and diligent GoT fans thought they knew how the television series would end. However, after the penultimate episode of GoT–“The Bells” many of us were thrown for a loop. In fact, all of Season 8–beginning with the demise of the Night King in Episode 3 and Cersei Lannister being crushed to death in the Red Keep left many of us scratching our heads.
With all of the storylines and prophecies–we didn’t see how D&D was going to tie this all together. The GoT series finale wasn’t perfect, but it had some glorious moments. With Dany walking out to look upon the decimated city and Drogon burning the Iron Throne–its certainly a show that will withstand the test of time.
