It’s finally time for the fashion community to rest — at least for a little while. The fashion month festivities came to a close on Tuesday with the final runway of Paris Fashion Week. Given the volume of shows on the schedule, Fashionista editors compiled the longest list of favorites yet, including Sarah Burton’s debut at Givenchy, Alaïa’s artfully tubular return to France from New York and Chloé’s edgy-yet-wearable take on its beloved bohemian style.
Rising independent designers like Cecilie Bahnsen, Rokh, Marine Serre and Vaquera especially stood out, with the latter introducing blouses in the shape of underwire bras, Serre showing a head-to-toe lace bodysuit and Bahnsen melding her signature frilly aesthetic with utilitarian details.
