What you will be doing:
● Direct job-shadowing opportunities with a graphic designer or art director on the team
● Assist with digital file organization and ideation sessions with the creative team
● Opportunity to learn how the creative process unfolds within the fast-paced beauty industry
● Support the creative team in working with managers to identify opportunities, conceptualize new projects, and aid in the definition of requirements
● Produce low fidelity sketches and flows to validate ideas at the concept stage
● Help the creative department on digital and other creative initiatives
● Design 1 to 3 email newsletters per week utilizing templatized layouts, with an eye towards mobile-first experience
● Create assets for social media and ecommerce as needed
Skills needed to be successful in this role:
● Basic knowledge of layouts, typography, line composition, color, and other graphic design fundamentals
● Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written)
● Positive attitude, desire to learn, and works well in a collective environment
● Passion for Design and plan to pursue a career in Design
● Enthusiastic about Emilie Heathe’s mission to develop thoughtful products for the home
● Detail-oriented and thorough
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills
● Positive attitude and self-motivation with the ability to prioritize well and drive a high level of focus.
● Easy-going, open-minded, and collaborative character.
● Strong interest in the retail/beauty industry
Minimum Qualifications:
● Full-Time undergraduate or graduate student (Must be at least a rising Sophomore of a four-year degree program)
● Major / field of study related to applicable internship (Graphic Design, Communication)
● Portfolio – provide a link (preferred) or send a PDF file (no more than 15 MB)
● Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office Suite
