While most other celebrities are in Paris showing off their best looks for Haute Couture Fashion Week, Dakota Johnson is flexing her sartorial skills in Milan instead.
To celebrate the 160th anniversary of the vermouth brand Martini, the actor brought out her best long black dress: a body-hugging silhouette from Versace‘s Fall 2023 ready-to-wear collection. She and stylist Kate Young appear to have altered Look 8 to make it (much) tighter and longer, taking off the two pleated panels covering the top to stay true to Johnson’s affinity for a more uncomplicated aesthetic. The result was simply as chic as it gets.

The brand’s unmistakable Medusa metal hardware stayed, though, making the dress the perfect choice for the Italian soiree. She accessorized with slingback pumps and, rather than the very large emerald typically wrapped around her left finger, a multi-colored flower-shaped ring. She finished it off with a six-row pavé-set diamond bracelet from Bulgari. (Casual.) Doesn’t get more Italian than that.
