San Diego Comic-Con, once an intimate gathering of comic book fans, is now one of the biggest media events of the year. The 2019 edition, which wrapped on Sunday, drew in an estimated crowd of more than 130,000 people — many dressed as Catwoman or Deadpool. But beyond the well-executed cosplays, it was the playful, laid-back fashions worn by the celebrities in attendance that truly caught our eye.

There was the summery, ’70s-inspired Zimmermann floral blouse-and-short combo that Yara Shahidi wore to “Stan Lee’s Alliances: A Trick Of Light” audible experience; the cool, belted leather get-up that Elizabeth Olsen sported to a Marvel Studios panel; and Danai Gurira‘s sleeveless pleated Proenza Schouler dress with mesh detailing.

But the weekend clearly belonged to the cast of “Riverdale,” who ran in a stylish pack. Cole Sprouse deserves an honorable mention for his loose-fitting, slate-colored satin button-down, which he paired with navy slacks. Camila Mendes also sartorially impressed in Silvia Tcherassi biker shorts and a yellow ruffled Markarian number.
