I don’t know about you, but ever since the live-action “The Little Mermaid” was announced, I haven’t stopped thinking about it. With Halle Bailey as Ariel and Melissa McCarthy as Ursula, you already know it’s going to be a memorable movie.
On Monday, the stars gathered in Los Angeles for the film’s premiere, many opting to honor the underwater theme with their looks. Newly crowned Disney princess Bailey arrived in a blue metallic Valdrin Sahiti gown, the shimmering fabric reminiscent of ocean waves and the detailing on the bust seemingly inspired by shells. Simone Ashley exuded siren glamour in a beige and fuschia mini dress by Atelier Versace, while Melissa McCarthy went with a deep sea blue Taller Marmo ensemble. Daveed Diggs donned a sparkly Amiri set that reminds us of light reflecting on water.
