Cavanagh Baker is looking for a Head of Wholesale who will manage, guide, grow and strengthen our wholesale business in the United States and Europe.
We’re seeking an ideal candidate with a demonstrated history of executing global sales strategies within the Designer Fashion realm. This individual should boast a track record of cultivating successful connections with Fashion Directors and buyers at pivotal Wholesale Partnerships. Possess an in-depth comprehension of international markets, and exhibit a solid grasp of product dynamics and effective merchandising techniques.
What you will do:
● Develop the strategic timeline for Cavanagh Baker’s wholesale expansion and overall business growth.
● Assume full responsibility for overseeing all wholesale business, including managing profit and loss, exploring new business models, and streamlining operations.
● Lead the wholesale team, fostering a culture of coaching and individual/team development.
● Organize, attend, and manage all showroom market appointments in New York City and Paris, including appointments outside of market dates.
● Maintain strong relationships with our current retail partners while developing and nurturing new accounts small and large.
● Cultivate and maintain strong relationships and schedules with events and trunk shows.
● Attend line range development and costing meetings.
● Manage the complete seasonal order process, from initial order to final order confirmation, continued store communication, reorders and trunk show planning.
● Educate and deliver consistent in-store product training to our retail partners, ensuring they are well-versed in our brand’s offerings.
● Analyze sell-through data and take proactive measures to optimize in-season sales and overall performance.
● Identify and establish new business opportunities, with a focus on long-term and sustainable growth.
● Share valuable market intelligence with the team by providing comprehensive end-of-season sales and product reports, including competitor analysis.
Who you are:
● 3+ Years of Managerial Position in Luxury Sales.
● Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing.
● Proven track record in luxury fashion sales, with at least 5 years of experience.
● Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
● Strong leadership skills, able to build and grow their team, as well as collaborate effectively with the whole organization.
● Strong negotiation and presentation abilities.
● Self-motivated, results-oriented, and a passion for luxury fashion.
● Ability to travel as needed for client meetings and trade shows.
