Concert audiences have quickly become their own fashion shows — from Harry Styles’ “Love on Tour,” which encouraged attendees to wear their glitziest, most feathery ensembles, to Taylor Swift’s “Eras” tour and Beyonce’s “Renaissance” tour, where fans were inspired to embody the artists themselves. Basically, dressing as a concert attendee has never involved as much pressure as it does now (unless you count 13-year-old me thinking One Direction were going to spot me in the crowd).
This season, Sabrina Carpenter‘s “Short n’ Sweet” tour is the latest to call for a dress code. The official hub for all things Sabrina (@teamsabrina on Instagram) even went as far as to share an outfit guide for the shows encouraging short skirts, sparkles, babydoll dresses and anything with “hearts and kisses.” Preferred colors include baby blue, baby pink, butter yellow, white and red. With all these suggestions and Carpenter’s signature style to consider, I knew I needed to get a head start on my own attire.
Choosing between the one-dress-and-done approach (a light-yellow A-line mini dress or a nightgown-inspired look) and a two-piece set (a graphic tank with ruffled shorts or a sequin mini skirt) hasn’t been the easiest, but I’ve narrowed my selection down to these “Short n’ Sweet” pieces. (Along with some Sabrina Carpenter perfume to top it all off, of course.)
