Despite Victoria Beckham‘s refined (dare we say “posh”) approach to fashion, there’s still a certain level of ease that’s prevalent among her collections season after season. It’s easy to imagine wearing her clothes, and there’s an allure to wanting to engage with the lifestyle her brand represents.
For Fall 2024, shown Friday during Paris Fashion Week, Beckham stepped outside her usual boundaries and presented her most experimental — yet still highly sophisticated — collection to date.
“Victoria Beckham re-examines the transformative silhouettes at the core of her brand and abstracts them through the prism of her own creative evolution,” read the show notes. “Retaining the ease essential to her philosophy, the proposal refines the concept of silhouettes complex in construction but effortless in practice.”
Classic tailoring is manipulated to new levels as crisp blazers that look traditional in the front were revealed to be completely backless as the models turned around on the runway. Mini dresses are sculpted around wired frames that result in eye-catching three-dimensional silhouettes. An array of biker jackets and trench coats feature flipped-up, exaggeratedly-high collars — recalling those a dog might wear for recovery (but way chicer).
