This Growth-Promoting Gel Is Like Brow Lamination in a Tube

I’ve never gotten so many compliments on my brows.

Yes, this is an entire post dedicated to how much I love a clear brow gel — buckle up! Even I’m shocked that something as simple and seemingly basic as a sheer shaping gel could possibly evoke such strong feelings, but trust me when I say that KS & Co’s Clear Strong-Hold Brow Gel is just that impressive.

It’s one of 10 new products L.A.-based brow expert Kristie Streicher (whose clients include Mandy Moore, Gwyneth Paltrow, Adele, Sarah Paulson, Lorde and Sandra Bullock) launched earlier this year. Streicher herself introduced it to me during a recent launch event in New York City, where she worked her shaping and tinting magic on my brows. (Sometimes the life of a beauty editor is truly blessed.) And although that glam session with the artist herself was nothing short of a brow revelation, I really credit the clear brow gel for helping me maintain, prolong and even enhance the results of it on my own.

I’d spent years focusing on rehabilitating my once-depleted, over-tweezed (thank you, 2005 Steph) brows (RevitaBrow has truly been my savior), so I’ve gotten to a point where my brows are pretty full and fluffy on their own. But because my brow hairs are thick and a little unruly, lamination (a pro chemical process that straightens and smooths the strands into place, like a reverse perm) has been pretty much the only way for me to keep them in place and maintain the shape I like.

Until I tried this brow gel, that is. Completely transparent and not at all goopy or gummy, it goes on smoothly and locks hairs into place in seconds with just a few swipes. And unlike other clear gels, pomades and waxes I’ve used in the past, it’s totally residue-free; once it sets, hairs just stay perfectly in place as if by magic, which is very similar to how I’d describe my past experiences with lamination. The effect looks completely natural — not shiny, stiff or chalky — and I’ve never gotten more compliments on my brows than I have over the past month or so I’ve been using it.

Plus, because the formula is spiked with growth-supporting ingredients and UV filters, it’s also actually good for brows, so it helps promote their health and fullness over time.
