These Toe Protectors Are Tyler's Secret Weapon for Making Shoes More Comfortable

Trust me, you’re going to want to stock up on these.

Here are the facts, plain and simple: A lot of times, the shoes that are most “fashion-y” are not the most comfortable. (Sneakers, naturally, are excluded from this.) Of course, those are the shoes I love the most, especially during fashion month, when I am trying to look like my most capital-F Fashion self.

The most common pain point, at least for me, is in my pinky toes, which thoroughly hate rubbing around inside pointed styles, whether they’re flats or heels. One day, I decided that I’d had enough, so I searched around for some toe protectors and landed on these babies I found on Amazon. Made of a soft, thin silicone, these slip on over your toe and stay there all day, providing an extra layer between them and your shoe.

I was skeptical that they’d really work, but I’ve road tested them through multiple fashion weeks and busy days here in New York City, and I am happy to vouch for their ability to keep your toes happy in even the pointiest of heels. The only downside is that they do wear out (after several wears); thankfully, they’re sold in packs of 10. I consider them my secret weapon for making any pair of shoe wearable for long periods of time.
