The Street Style Crowd Got Weird (Complimentary) on Day 5 of Paris Fashion Week Fall 2023
By The Citizen on March 5, 2023
An overall eclecticism — with a sprinkle of camp and a pinch of kookiness — set a playful mood.
As Paris Fashion Week continues on, we seem to have officially hit the stage of the Fall 2023 presentations during which showgoers are leaning into an anything goes philosophy. An overall eclecticism — with a sprinkle of camp and a pinch of kookiness — permeated the street style looks we spotted on day five.
The fashion crowd embraced bold colors (fuchsia, red, Kelly green, turquoise, baby pink) and playful silhouettes (corsets with floor-grazing sleeves, dresses over pants), making it clear everyone is in the mood to have a little fun with fashion and bring in moments of sartorial joy. The whimsy of the day no doubt also owed to the shows that were happening: Reliably playful, imaginative designers including Vivienne Westwood and Comme des Garçons were on the lineup, welcoming attendees to get a little weird.
