When I wake up in the morning looking like a blowfish, I’m usually desperate for ways to reduce puffiness and get my face back. Sure, it’s not as egregious as I jest, but most of my friends can also relate to this morning puffiness, exacerbated by doomscrolling or drinking the night before. Besides cutting back on bad habits, the next best thing for me has been lymphatic drainage facial massages. And to lend my DIY mini spa treatments just the right amount of slip, I’ve been turning to Prakti Beauty SundaSkin serum.

Using oil on my combination skin type wouldn’t be ideal, but this watery formula does the trick: I usually dispense a few drops on both cheeks before going to work. The glycerin base provides moisture, as well as a bit of glide that allows me to comfortably massage my face; I find that I can massage my masseters (the jaw muscles that can carry tension) for at least three minutes before it fully absorbs.

The serum is also spiked with hyaluronic acid and snow mushroom (for hydration), licorice root extract (for brightening) and ginger water (which offers anti-inflammatory properties). There’s also a dose of niacinamide, which I love for its ability to help fade dark spots.

I’e been using it daily for several weeks, and it’s definitely changed my skin-care routine for the better: Because massaging my face is easier, I do it more regularly and for a longer period of time. (And I avoid the blowfish look most days, too.)
