Editors’ Picks are the Fashionista team’s true (#notspon) fashion and beauty obsessions, handpicked by professionals who see it all.
Scientists have proven that this has been the longest January on record, did you know? (This is a nonsensical, made up fact, but it feels true, doesn’t it?) So it’s particularly curious that, in the dead of winter, I’ve found myself obsessing over a sleeveless top — a garment usually reserved for the warmer months on the calendar that fly by in warp speed.
But the Ciao Lucia Amira Top feels remarkably seasonless, despite its bare-armed silhouette. The tailored vest features a high, square neck and is made from textured faille, giving it a sturdy structure; the darts that create a nipped waist also contribute to this overall effect.
It’s the covered velvet buttons and trim, though, that make the top feel both polished and cold weather-appropriate to me. I could see styling it with wool trousers and a slouchy (warm!) coat, making it a perfectly practical outfit for this time of year.

I also love how the brand styled it in its own images, atop its Antonia bubble skirt (above), and could see that look working well with a pair of sheer black tights for a full-on monochromatic moment.
