Last time we tuned into Succession, the Roy family was torn asunder. Season three ended with the usually well-trained Tom Wambsgans (Matthew Macfadyen) escaping from his Shiv-lead leash and informing Logan Roy (Brian Cox) that his kids were planning on ending the deal between the family’s company, Waystar Royco, and Go-Jo. The move resulted in Logan effectively cutting his kids out of the company, and moving forward on the deal without them.
On January 26, a new teaser of the upcoming season four provided a hint as to how things shook out following the dramatic maneuvering in last season’s ender. It provides some intriguing clues as to where everyone stands before the HBO show returns on Sunday, March 26.
The new trailer shows the Roy kids plotting against Logan as the Waystar sale to tech entrepreneur Lukas Matsson (Alexander Skarsgård) draws nearer. “It’s a tightrope walk on a straight razor, 500-foot reputational drop,” Kendall (Jeremy Strong) says in the clip.
The teaser offers a glimpse of what is presumably Connor (Alan Ruck) and Willa (Justine Lupe) finally get married. There’s also a host of new comers, played by Annabeth Gish, Adam Godley, Eili Harboe, and Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson who have joined the cast.
