New York Fashion Week is nearly three weeks away, and the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) has finally released the Fall 2025 preliminary schedule, which runs from Thursday, Feb. 6, to Tuesday, Feb. 11.
It includes more than 54 designers, such as returning staples Christian Siriano, Collina Strada, Coach, Carolina Herrera, Khaite, Luar, Michael Kors, LaQuan Smith, Sergio Hudson and Prabal Gurung. Christopher John Rogers, Theory, Norma Kamali and Altuzarra return to the lineup after a few seasons away; Calvin Klein also makes its NYFW comeback under the direction of new creative director Veronica Leoni; Brandon Maxwell and CFDA Chairman Thom Browne will open and close the week, respectively. (Noticeably missing on the list are Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Proenza Schouler, Jason Wu, 3.1 Phillip Lim and Wiederhoeft.)
First-timers include Gabe Gordon, Alexis Bittar, Vettese, Leblancstudios and Zoe Gustavia Anna Whalen. Tanner Fletcher, Agbobly, Theophilio, Veronica Beard and 2024 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund award winner L’Enchanteur will host presentations.
“NYFW serves as the premier opportunity for designers and brands to tell their story and share their work in the ways that speak to their communities and business needs. This upcoming season represents themes we see across the industry: calibration and innovation,” Joseph Maglieri, CFDA’s Director of Fashion Week Initiatives, said in a statement. “It reminds us of the importance of brand sovereignty and stamina, and the significance of remaining authentic to where they are now in order to plan for where they want to be in the future.”
