The NYFW Street Style Crowd Is Going Heavy on Statement Furs

February New York Fashion Week street style is always about striking a delicate balance between chic and practical. This season has been particularly cold and snowy, so showgoers are turning to one ubiquitous outerwear solution: fur coats. 

Folks outside the Fall 2025 shows have been piling on colorful patchworks, vintage Old Money pelts, bold animal prints and fluffy, Muppet-like coats to shield themselves from the harsh climate. We’ve spotted vibrant blue iterations, belted trenches, vertical stripes and winter whites, usually in oversized, voluminous silhouettes that make for quite a presence on the sidewalks.
