One minute, I was peacefully sleeping. The next, I woke up on the morning of Feb. 1 to multiple texts that Beyoncé had announced a “Cowboy Carter” tour. It’s safe to say my outfit planning commenced right then and there.
First up on the list? Accessories. I have my cowboy boots and hat secured, but I need a chic bag to tie it together. The obvious choice is to reach for denim (iykyk), and my eye is set on 3.1 Phillip Lim’s studded Washed Denim Market Tote.
On top of the washed treatment, I love the slightly slouchy silhouette: It offers versatility and utility, easily transforming from an at-work bag to an after-work tour essential. It can comfortably fit all concert necessities, including a reusable water bottle, wallet, portable charger, hand sanitizer, rain poncho (just in case) and comfy shoes.
The bag is accented with silver studs on the handles, a detail that really sold me. It screams “edgy,” borderline “rocker,” making it an appropriate bag to also flaunt for Beyoncé’s Act III (rumored) rock album.
Now, I know there’s a chance the tote’s measurements may be too big to bring inside New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium. Still, arena-friendly or not, it’s just the right dose of “chic cowboy” my wardrobe needs. I’m already imagining myself toting this number around while listening to “II Hands II Heaven.”
