The 2023 Tony Awards were history-making in a few ways: They were unscripted, for one, as a result of the ongoing WGA strike; then, two nonbinary actors, J. Harrison Ghee and Alex Newell, took home acting awards, a first. And celebrities from both the stage and the screen came together to celebrate — in spectacular fashion, of course.
Host Ariana DeBose arrived on the pink-purple carpet in custom Prada, while Jodie Comer posed in a corseted Thom Browne gown covered in tonal glass bugle and cut bead embroidery before taking home the Tony for Best Actress in a Play.
