The Best Dressed Stars on the 2019 Emmys Red Carpet

The Emmys can be a little safe, but there were some undeniable standouts.

When fashion month overlaps with a major award show red carpet, it can be a lot to take in fashion-wise — even overwhelming, perhaps. But don’t worry: There’s no need to browse every single red carpet look from Sunday night’s 2019 Emmy Awards (though we happily invite you to do that if you have the time), as we’ve carefully distilled the must-see looks into our list of the evening’s best-dressed stars.

The Emmys tend to be on the safer side of the award season spectrum, but this year there were a few undeniable standouts among your favorite TV stars: Zendaya was there, so you know she was one of them (in the prettiest green Vera Wang); Margaret Qualley was timelessly stunning in Chanel; Michelle Williams and Busy Philipps were best(dressed)ies in Louis Vuitton and Lela Rose, respectively, while Sophie Turner and Indya Moore also made the cut in Nicolas Ghésquiere’s designs. Plus, Billy Porter did not fail to meet our now-very-high expectations, wearing a Michael Kors suit and statement-making hat by Stephen Jones.
