We’re feeling a bit of whiplash: While the runways in New York seemed to stray from dopamine dressing and lean into neutrals like chocolate brown, London Fashion Week is taking a different approach to Fall 2023, especially when it comes to footwear.
Boots at Ahluwalia were cobalt blue with a textured, fuchsia heel. At Conner Ives, electric yellow wax mixed into satiny prints on knee-highs. David Koma slid red patent boots up to the thigh, while Simone Rocha showed a ruby red ballet flat reminiscent of “The Wizard of Oz.”
