Sofia Richie Grainge has had herself quite a year already. From her jaw-dropping French wedding to becoming the face of the quiet luxury fashion trend, the model has metamorphosed into 2023’s It-girl. And with that title comes the inevitable debut of a clothing line.
In a new Vogue video that dropped Tuesday, “24 Hours with Sofia Richie Grainge,” she rather casually shared that she’s working on a new clothing line. The announcement — if one can even call it that — came during her 11:00 a.m. business meeting with designer Cassandra Hobbins and her agent, Adee Drexler.
“It’s top secret-ish?” she says in the tone of a question, before explaining, “We are creating this beautiful clothing line that brings out how I feel the most comfortable dressing.” She and her team are seen browsing swatches of fabric for the line, which presumably embodies the cashmere-heavy, neutral aesthetic that she’s made popular recently.
As the director of Nudestix and a household name with a host of beauty partnerships, Grainge is well versed in the beauty world. She’s also done a couple of fashion collaborations here and there, including one with her sister Nicole’s line House of Harlow. But this new project appears to be more of a solo project, which is a first.
No real details have been released about the clothing line, but this apparent soft launch couldn’t have been more aligned with Grainge’s personal aesthetic: quiet, subtle, yet drives everyone absolutely wild.
