Sofia Coppola is about as close as someone can come to being a “fashion person” without technically working in fashion, at least not primarily. Of course, she’s dabbled: There was her ’90s-era clothing line Milkfed, as well as collaborations with the likes of Marc Jacobs (for whom she’s served as a longtime muse), Uniqlo and Barrie. She’s also a longtime ambassador of Chanel, where she interned as a teen: She’s created a short film and other content for the house under Virginie Viard; Chanel also designed a custom dress for Coppola’s film “Priscilla” and hosted the launch party for her first book: “Sofia Coppola Archive.”
This week, Coppola announced the launch of Important Flowers, her own publishing imprint under Mack (publisher of her first book). It debuts with three releases including a lovely 2025 planner, inspired by her own personal diary, that I purchased within seconds of seeing it. Like many projects in which Coppola is involved (including “Sophia Coppola Archive”), it’s pink — feminine but still understated and sophisticated, just like her.
In addition to being beautiful, it’s functional, featuring monthly and weekly spreads, a resolution log, notes pages and wish lists for hotels, restaurants, movies and books. But the best part might be the handwritten note it comes with.
This may technically be an office accessory, but the planner also really doubles as a “IYKYK” fashion accessory. And similar to a hot fashion item, availability is limited and it’s already sold out on Mack’s website. (You can pre-order the 2026 version, but it’s not pink.) Fortunately a few other shops still have it in stock for now. Plus, the holidays are just about here, so whether it’s a gift for yourself or someone else, you better get yours ASAP.
“The Important Flowers Planner 2025” by Sofia Coppola, $30+, available here, here and here.
