Their second affordable collaboration is sweat-proof for all your summer activities.
Uniqlo‘s first collaboration with Alexander Wang, which featured an assortment of layer-able Heattech basics, kept us warm last winter. For their second offering, the brands have teamed up to keep us cool — and sweat-stain free — this summer.
The line utilizes the Japanese retailer’s AIRism technology, a fabric that works to prevent you from overheating while wicking away moisture. “Innovation has always been at the forefront of our design and creative process, and functionality serves a huge purpose in the way I and our customers dress,” says Wang in an official press release. “Therefore, through the influence of innovation, technology and functionality, the special AIRism collection was born.”
The affordable, sweat-proof range is comprised of loose-fitting tees, bike shorts, leggings, scoop-neck crop tops and airy undergarments, which come in an array of pastel hues like mint, sky blue and peach. Roughly half of the women’s items — including camisoles and slips — employ the sheerest-ever AIRism fabric, designed to feel like you’re not wearing anything. A new, seamless type of AIRism that — designed for both indoor and outdoor use — is also used in the women’s range. This fabric is made to be supportive but not constrictive, making it ideal for bras and shorts.
Men’s items include T-shirts and tank tops that are fashioned from a new fabric comprising a premium cotton finish and an AIRism interior. Men’s boxer briefs and briefs are crafted from the same material and boast a branded waistband for a cool, Wang-ified upgrade.
There are 11 styles for women and four for men, all of which are available to purchase now on Uniqlo.com and in all stores. Shop them all in the galleries below.
