Salomon and Sandy Liang Collaborated on the Dreamiest Sneakers of the Year

As if the ongoing collaboration between Sandy Liang and Salomon couldn’t get any cuter, the New York-based, all-things-girly-obsessed designer and athletic sneaker brand have released a third, extra adorable shoe together. And it’s easily the dreamiest one yet.

I’m just a girl, so of course the moment pictures came out of the latest launch, I instantly fell in love: The design is a reimagined version of Salomon’s XT-Whisper silhouette, only this time it comes in baby pink with silver and white accents. Plus, the soles flash a pop of cherry red, giving the shoe a cheeky, luxurious-looking finish.

“The XT-Whisper is one of my favorite silhouettes from Salomon’s archives, and I loved the challenge of reimagining it through a fresh, modern lens,” said Liang of the style in a press release. “This collaborative design reflects my love for outdoor adventures paired with the practicality and ease of my everyday city life.”

Beyond the aesthetically pleasing aspects of the shoe, it’s also extremely convenient. Instead of traditional laces, the design features a Quicklace function — a.k.a. an adjustable, elastic wire that never needs to be untied or re-tied. It’s the perfect function for anyone, who, like me, finds themselves constantly (literally) running out the door with no time to fret over a double knot being secure enough. 

As someone who is always racing around the city (and especially with New York Fashion Week on the horizon), I’m particularly excited to wear a shoe that gives me the classic comfort of a running shoe, yet keeps my outfit on point stylistically.
