Robert Wun Expands on His Signature Shapes for Fall 2024 Haute Couture

For his Fall 2024 Haute Couture collection, Robert Wun continues his love affair with wide-brimmed hats, cinched bodices and mermaid skirts — and though these shapes have become signatures, the London-based designer still manages to surprise audiences with new embellishments, fresh color palettes and distinctive fabrications.

The brand’s latest offering opens with two Jackson Pollock-like splatter ensembles, both in black and white. One boasts an opaque veil that falls towards the model’s forearms, the other is made up of a floor-length trench coat and matching pointed umbrella, similar to a look shown in the Spring 2024 Haute Couture collection.

A baby blue double-breasted coat, a white flared-out fishtail gown and a form-fitting dress with a red bubble sleeve bolero follow, all encased by color-complementary fluttering butterflies, creating a three-dimensional world for each outfit. Then come a series of crushed velvet pieces with “Formation“-like hats and opera gloves in vibrant cobalt blues, eggplant purples and more.

Towards the end, the brand gives a taste of last season’s horror theme, sprinkling in a single spooky skeleton for a final jump-scare.
