Just a few days after her megawatt Super Bowl performance (during which she revealed she’s pregnant again), Rihanna and her family — partner A$AP Rocky and the couple’s absolutely adorable baby boy, whose name has yet to be revealed — appear on the March 2023 cover of British Vogue. The publication unveiled the cover shot by Inez & Vinoodh, as well as the accompanying editorial and interview with Giles Hattersley on Wednesday.

In her interview with the publication, Rihanna discusses motherhood, her newfound confidence and new music. The singer and beauty mogul does not, however, reveal her baby boy’s name: “Rihanna, Rocky, their families and teams are so consistent in calling him ‘baby’ in my presence I do half wonder if his name might actually be Baby,” writes Hattersley in an aside. The couple has kept their family life mostly private since they welcomed their baby boy in May of last year, save for Rihanna’s first-ever TikTok post that was also a reveal of the then six-month-old. But as far as public appearances go, landing a British Vogue cover before even celebrating your first birthday is pretty damn iconic — and we’d expect nothing less from Rihanna’s offspring.

The shoot was styled by Edward Enninful, along with Matthew Henson (who is delightfully credited as “A$AP Rocky and baby’s stylist”), with hair by Rihanna’s go-to stylist Yusef, makeup by Kanako Takase and nails by Kimmie Kyees. For the cover shot, she wears a black Chanel gown with a high slit and goes barefoot on the beach, while a Chrome Hearts leather-clad Rocky holds her hand and the smiley baby.

Rihanna also, of course, offers up a series of gems in the interview, including insights on getting dressed while pregnant (and after): “Dressing for pregnancy was such a piece of cake… But dressing in postpartum, what the f**k do you do? The week that I came home from the hospital – that was nothing but sweats and hoodies. But the weeks after that, you don’t know what to put on. Everything is too small or too big.” She also goes on to discuss her support of Colin Kaepernick and what went into her choice to participate in the Super Bowl this year. She also (kind of) reveals that she had been approached to headline the Super Bowl halftime show every year for the past decade or so, but had always turned them down in the past. Casual.
