Devi (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan) and her Never Have I Ever crew are back and better than ever for season 3. But wait, what happened in seasons 1 and 2? Ramona Young (Eleanor Wong) and Lee Rodriguez (Fabiola Torres) sat down with StyleCaster to help us remember. We gave them exactly 120 seconds to recap seasons 1 and 2, and they really rose to the occasion — and then quickly fell.
In their defense, seasons 1 and 2 were SO long ago. Like B.P., before the pandemic. We’re all different people now, especially Devi Vishwakumar. I mean, back when we first met her, she was in love with a guy named Paxton (Darren Barnet), and detested a guy named Ben (Jaren Lewison), but maybe they also hate-liked each other, and now, oh wait…maybe things aren’t that different. But it’s much more complicated than that, and thankfully Ramona and Lee took on the challenge.
Highlights of their recap include an important confession, “Then Fabiola comes out to her robot Gears Brosnan,” Lee reminds us. And Young leads in recapping skills and helps us remember Malcolm, Eleanor’s boyfriend, “who’s super toxic.” Ramona also wins for questioning Devi and Ben’s timing on their make out session, “You’re going to make out after you spread your father’s ashes?” she side-eyes.
