The Sr. Manager, Entertainment & Influencer Marketing will inspire consumers through leveraging cultural influencers and key product stories, in partnership with key categories, functions and broader geography and global marketing teams.

The Sr. Manager, Entertainment & Influencer Marketing will inspire consumers through leveraging cultural influencers and key product stories, in partnership with key categories, functions and broader geography and global marketing teams. This role will provide strong leadership and entrepreneur skills to lead the cross-functional marketing team and contribute to the overall business growth. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Communications & Entertainment, this role will work closely with all communication and marketing disciplines, category teams and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead New Era’s influencer and entertainment marketing vision from strategy to execution across all brand categories
  • Build, manage and maintain relationships with a wide range of influencers, talent and partners across key verticals with a goal to constantly gain exposure for the brand
  • Identify, recommend and execute sponsorship, partnership and product collaboration opportunities in the entertainment space including: musicians, actors/actresses, artists, gaming, local/regional influencers, social media influencers and events/festivals
  • Implement quick response and long-term strategic plans to capitalize on constant influencer industry changes
  • Develop and manages a direct relationship with artists, entertainers, key industry managers/people, stylists, wardrobe and other people tied to key product stories & placement targets
  • Strategically seed product to key entertainers, influencers and stylists in order to advance the appeal of the brand and key collections
  • Determine, manage and effectively communicate priorities, development timelines, budgets, dependencies, scope and constraints to all business and marketing stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain a proprietary database complete with contact details and diary of communications and targeted entertainer list/connectivity
  • Keep all sensitive matters confidential
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proven track record of leadership skills, successful marketing, business development, and event management experience
  • Established base of current contacts in entertainment, media and influencer channels
  • Strong analytical and risk assessment capabilities to anticipate trends and turn insights into action
  • Team player with strong soft skills
  • Robust understanding of cultural landscape and aspirational brands across all segments
  • Effectively builds relationships and partnerships that facilitate collaboration and drive change
  • Appreciation for sports on global scale
  • Ability to handle confidential information and interact with high-level executives, celebrities, athletes and VIP’s
  • Understanding of budget management/allocation
  • Desire to develop team process and maximize efficiencies
  • Must be punctual and possess strong work ethic

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communication or related field required
  • 8-10+ years of experience successfully leading entertainment and influencer strategies for brands in sports, lifestyle & youth culture; including but not limited to: headwear, apparel, footwear, accessories, retail, gaming, music/entertainment and sports in North America and Globally
  • Strong cultural marketing and relationship-building skills. Also, candidate should exhibit a high energy level that gets people excited and wanting to participate in and support brand initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience leading the development of an annual marketing plan, and corresponding budget, across multiple product launches, channels of distribution and multiple marketing functions of direct and indirect budget authority
  • Strategic planning and business analysis experience, including experience making business decisions that impact product and business growth

Travel

  • 25%-30% travel, as needed
