Miguel Castro Freitas released his debut campaign for Mugler. Titled “The Wardrobe of Identities,” the ad was lensed by photographer Reto Schmid and styled by Robbie Spencer; it features the pre-spring 2026 collection. The campaign is inspired by duality, and “celebrating the many selves we carry within us,” according to the press release. {Fashionista inbox}

LVMH takes a minority stake in BDK Parfums

LVMH Luxury Venture Funds has made a minority investment in French fragrance brand BDK Parfums. The exact financial amount has not been revealed, but this is the first external investment BDK Parfums has taken. Why the FDA halted a key beauty testing policy

Under Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s authority, the FDA has withdrawn a proposal that would have required manufacturers to test talc-containing cosmetic products. The policy was to help detect asbestos, a harmful contaminant found in talc. The agency did not state an exact reason for withdrawing the ruling, but it did imply that potential backlash from other companies (such as pharmaceuticals) was a factor. Dieux founder Charlotte Palermino posted a breakdown of the ruling on Instagram, explaining MAHA’s involvement in the anti-standardized-testing push, and shared some resources to stay informed. {@charlotteparler/Instagram}

Japan Educational Foundation finalizes acquisition of LIM

Young shoppers drove Black Friday sales

Brands popular with young shoppers (such as Kendra Scott, Bath & Body Works and Brandy Melville) drew some of the biggest in-store crowds for Black Friday, thanks to good deals on teen-favorite items like sweatshirts and cosmetics.
