Precious Lee, Paloma Elsesser and Jill Kortleve cover British Vogue
For its April 2023 cover stars, British Vogue introduces the “New Supers” — Precious Lee, Paloma Elsesser and Jill Kortleve. The three industry-defying models speak to Janelle Okwodu about their purpose of creating space for body representation in the fashion industry, serving as a reference for positive change, prioritizing self-care and mental health and resisting conformity in an age of strict beauty standards. “When I first started in this business, I felt incredibly alone. You’re confronting an industry that is largely white and thin-centric, one that doesn’t always see our worth,” Elsesser said. “To be doing this now where I’m supported, and alongside my sisters in the game, is beautiful.” {British Vogue}

Only a year after taking the helm of Pucci as its Artistic Director, Camille Miceli is already making moves as she announces an unexpected fashion show in Florence. The runway presentation is titled “Initials E.P.” and will reveal Pucci’s new summer collection. The line will serve as a continuing tribute to founder Emilio Pucci by looking back at the Maison’s original roots. “Initials E.P.” will be presented on May 4, with the collection available to shop online and in-store immediately following the show. {Fashionista inbox}

How Deuxmoi became beauty’s unexpected truth-teller
Pop culture’s very own “Gossip Girl” Deuxmoi has more to her than being in on the latest celebrity tips — she’s a notable beauty influencer. The anonymous woman behind the infamous account spoke to Elle about her goal to transparently inform the masses about celebrities’ beauty and skin-care practices. Beauty stylists will get hundreds of new client requests and products will sell out when Deuxmoi shares them. “I’m not trying to sell beauty products. I just genuinely love makeup and beauty. And I, like everyone else, want to know what celebrities are using,” she said. {Elle}

Female designers redefined sexy for Fall 2023
Embracing an increasingly popular “less is more” attitude to clothing, the Fall 2023 runways were full of sensual and sheer looks. Per Rachel Tashjian at Harper’s Bazaar, what makes this sexy approach to getting dressed important to take note of is that this shift is being led by female designers — including women such as Simone Rocha, Tory Burch and Maryam Nassir Zadeh. “It’s a reframing of what’s appealing and to whom, as well as a radical shift in the way we think about our own bodies and relate to one another’s,” Tashjian wrote. “…For the designers who are proposing a new vision of sensuality, it’s not just about the reveal; it’s about giving the wearer the agency to control just how much or how little.” {Harper’s Bazaar}
