Prada’s 9-month revenue reaches more than $4 billion
Prada Group’s net revenue over the last nine months rose 9%, reaching €4.07 billion (approximately $4.72 billion). Miu Miu’s sales drove the significant growth, with a 29% jump in retail performance. The company’s namesake, meanwhile, had a slight decline of -0.1%. The Italian company credits its strong results to a well-balanced category mix, its bet on novelty and strong social engagement. {Prada Group}
Kering’s Q3 sales fall
Kering’s net revenue fell 5% on a comparable basis in Q3. That said, its Q3 results are a significant improvement to Q2, which saw a 15% decline. Gucci’s revenue was down 14% to €1.34 billion (approximately $1.5 billion), a major improvement from Q2, when it dropped 25%. Meanwhile, Saint Laurent sales fell 4% and Bottega Veneta dropped by 3%. {Kering}
Stylist Melanie Ward passed away
British stylist Melanie Ward has passed away after a struggle with cancer. She was one of fashion’s most influential figures throughout the ’90s and early 2000s, helping put brands like Calvin Klein and Jil Sander on the map, working as a consultant for Karl Lagerfeld and collaborating with Helmut Lang. In 1995, she became a senior fashion editor at Harper’s Bazaar and stayed in that position for 14 years. {Instagram}
Vestiaire Collective partners with Ganni
Vestiaire Collective has joined forces with Ganni to launch a new dedicated resale service for Ganni consumers. The program allows customers to submit pre-loved pieces from the Danish brand directly through Vestiaire and, once approved, receive a Ganni gift card.
