Nike and Sacai to launch capsule collection

Nike teamed up with Sacai to launch the Nike Sacai capsule, available exclusively on Sacai’s website on Dec. 13. The capsule includes five styles inspired by tracksuits, featuring two styles for men and women as well as one unisex T-shirt. Illustrator Yusuke Hanai also created a sculpture inspired by the capsule that will be exclusively available on Sacai’s website on Dec. 13 and for pre-order at Dover Street Market LA on Nov. 22. The Ordinary CEO to step down

Nicola Kilner, co-founder and CEO of The Ordinary‘s parent company Deciem, is stepping down from her role at the end of the year. Kilner will still be involved with the company and will remain co-founder, while Jesper Rassmussen, the company’s general manager, is being promoted to global brand president. Kilner co-founded Deciem in 2013 with Brandon Truaxe, who passed away in 2019, and the company has launched more than 10 beauty brands, including The Ordinary in 2017. {Business of Fashion/paywalled}

Carine Roitfeld teases Christopher Kane’s Self-Portrait Residency collection

Self-Portrait tapped Christopher Kane for its inaugural Residency collection, and Carine Roitfeld starred in a campaign photographed by Larissa Hofmann teasing two of the collection’s looks. Kane’s Residency collection reimagines elements from his Spring 2007 debut collection, including crystal chainmail, lace ruffles and satin dresses with bias cuts and lace panels. Self-Portrait Residency by Christopher Kane will be available in stores and online on Nov. 21 at 8 p.m. GMT (3 p.m. EST). Collina Strada opens first flagship store

Collina Strada has opened its first flagship store in New York City. Located at 52 Canal St., the store is open from Tuesday through Sunday from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. With stark white walls and a floral patterned floor, the store offers the brand’s brightly-colored clothing, shoes, jewelry and accessories. {Instagram}

Altuzarra launches rental program

Altuzarra is launching clothing rental in partnership with P180, the retail innovation firm that took a minority stake in the business last month. The Altuzarra team sees rental as a new revenue opportunity and a way to push full-price sales, with founder Joseph Altuzarra describing the move as a “digital experience that elevates how clients engage with our collections”. Handled by rental technology platform Caastle, customers can rent pieces at a fraction of the full cost for 14 days before they either return or choose to purchase. {Vogue Business/paywalled}

Clean Skin Club raises $32 million

Clean Skin Club, a skin-care brand known for its disposable face towels, has closed a $32 million investment round led by growth equity fund Astō Consumer Partners, with support from Amberstone Ventures. With this investment, the skin-care brand aims to continue its retail expansion, hire top beauty industry talent and develop new varieties of its fabric technology. Ben-David Imberman and Mor Shnaider launched Clean Skin Club in 2019, and it has more than tripled its annual revenue year-on-year to $2.6 million in 2020, just under $10 million in 2021 and $47 million at the end of 2023. {Business of Fashion/paywalled}

Kiko Kostadinov opens first U.S. store in LA

Kiko Kostadinov is opening its first U.S. flagship in Los Angeles’s Melrose Hill gallery district on Nov. 22. This marks the brand’s second permanent store worldwide, with the other in Tokyo’s Harajuku. The 1,500-square-foot space will be designed by artist Ryan Trecartin, featuring suburban Americana details such as pool equipment, lawn chairs, king-sized beds and charcoal roofing shingles. “We’re hoping that people will come specifically to us to see the space, or because there’s similar, like-minded people and galleries that might be in the area,” Kostadinov told Business of Fashion. {Business of Fashion/paywalled}
