Ludovic de Saint Sernin is Jean Paul Gaultier’s next guest designer
Ludovic de Saint Sernin will design Jean Paul Gaultier‘s eighth guest collection, the brand announced on Monday. Set to show in January 2025, the collection will mark de Saint Sernin’s first in the couture realm and the house’s first guest-designed collection to feature menswear. Yael Aflalo launches new label
Four years after her exit from Reformation, designer and entrepreneur Yael Aflalo is launching a new label, Aflalo. With a tagline reading, “the sublime, the practical, and the occasional nipple indiscretion,” Alfalo makes “hot girl clothes for everyone,” as Puck’s Lauren Sherman puts it. Off-White to outfit WNBA team New York Liberty
Off-White is the official “style and culture curator” of the WNBA team New York Liberty. The collaboration, which marks Off White’s first U.S. sports team partnership, kicked off during the team’s playoff game on Sunday with the release of a customizable varsity jacket. “WNBA players are being seen as style icons like never before, while also driving culture in previously unimagined ways,” said New York Liberty CEO Keia Clarke via a press release. “This recent shift presents an optimal moment for the New York Liberty and Off-White to come together to push boundaries even further and create new experiences that blend sport, fashion and culture in authentic ways that transcend the basketball court.” {Fashionista inbox}
Harry Styles’s Pleasing drops “Fantasia” collection
Pleasing, the lifestyle brand by Harry Styles, is set to release a “Fantasia”-themed capsule collection on Oct. 4 with a prelaunch at select Disney stores starting Sept. 28. Inspired by the radiant color and joy of the animated film, products include nail polish sets, skin care, apparel and accessories featuring imagery from film sequences “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice,” “Pastoral Symphony” and “The Dance of the Hours.” Prices will range from $25 to $289. {Fashionista inbox}

The Row opens Paris location
After 18 months of planning and renovations, The Row will welcome customers to its Paris location on Sept. 24. The store, found somewhere between the Louvre and designer boutiques on rue de Saint-Honoré, was previously a restaurant. British Vogue‘s Mark Holgate took a tour of the space, which he described as refined without being precocious, with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen ahead of its opening. {British Vogue}
Law Roach is living on his terms
After announcing his retirement on Instagram in March 2023, ‘image architect’ Law Roach is living life on his terms. In the intervening months, he has dressed only a select few clients and authored the book, “How to Build a Fashion Icon: Notes on Confidence,” coming Oct. 1. Ahead of the publication, Roach sat down with Financial Times Editor Carola Long for an interview to discuss growing up in the South Side of Chicago, working with fewer clients and method dressing. {Financial Times}
