How to make sustainable activewear
As the demand for activewear increases, so do consumers’ expectations for sustainability. Typically, the garments we work out in are made from blended synthetic fibers to provide the desired level of stretch and sweat-wicking properties; the fibers, which come from petrochemicals, are difficult to recycle and are large contributors to microfiber pollution. As a result, many brands have turned to recyclable materials like nylon and polyester. {Business of Fashion}
