H&M announces designer collaboration re-release
H&M will re-release select “pre-loved” pieces from its collaborative designer collections to celebrate the 20th anniversary of its first guest designer collection with Karl Lagerfeld in 2004. The re-release will include garments designed for H&M by Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Maison Margiela and more, sourced with the help of the secondhand marketplace Sellpy. Customers can shop the re-release in select stores during activations Oct. 24 through 30 and online starting Oct. 31. {Fashionista inbox}
Gucci Cruise 2026 to show in Florence
Gucci‘s Cruise 2026 collection will show in Florence, the brand’s founding city, on May 15. While the brand’s corporate offices are located 30 minutes from Florence in Casellina, the city is home to its brand archive and the concept space formerly known as the Gucci Garden. Veronica Beard partners with the NFL
Veronica Beard has collaborated with the NFL on a collection of jackets representing each of the 32 league teams. The CFDA and The Frazier Family Foundation introduce new award
On Sunday, the Frazier Family Foundation and the CFDA announced a new prize, the Empowered Vision Award, which will benefit an independent Black designer with a direct $100,000 grant and an additional $100,000 to support them in a year-long mentorship. “CFDA is proud to continue our longstanding social impact work through a collaboration with the Frazier Family Foundation,” CFDA CEO Steven Kolb said in a statement. “Together, we have developed an award that will positively impact an American designer with exceptional creative excellence, equipping them with the necessary capital and tools for long-term success as a Black-owned business in the global economy.” {CFDA}
Bloomingdale’s CEO on the future of department stores
In an interview with Cathaleen Chen for Bussiness of Fashion, Bloomingdale’s CEO Olivier Bron discussed his strategy and the state of the American department store. “My obsession is how we become more and more relevant for our brands and how we can play a role in their retail strategy,” he noted, emphasizing the importance of the in-store experience for consumers. “We don’t want to be the biggest department store chain in the US… We want to be the local leader,” he said. {Business of Fashion/paywalled}

Launched in February 2023, Instagram broadcast channels have quickly become a pillar of real-time interaction for brands and their most devoted audience members.
