GU announces collaboration with Rokh
Uniqlo sister brand GU announced its first-ever collaboration with emerging luxury brand Rokh. The 22-piece “mini edit,” themed “Play in Style” includes artfully tailored layering pieces, such as jackets, scarves, knits and footwear. Where to watch the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show
The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show returns on Oct. 15 after a five-year hiatus. The 2024 show will be live-streamed on the brand’s social media channels as well as on Amazon Live and Prime Video. Models will also live-stream the show from their perspectives on their own social platforms. Nike revenue dips amid executive transition
Nike revenue fell by 10% during the first fiscal quarter of 2025, with direct revenue down 13%. The news comes as the brand awaits the arrival of new CEO Elliott Hill, who will assume the position on Oct. 13. “Nike’s first quarter results largely met our expectations,” said Executive Vice President and CFO Matthew Friend. “A comeback at this scale takes time, but we see early wins — from momentum in key sports to accelerating our pace of newness and innovation. Our teams are energized as Elliott Hill returns to lead Nike’s next stage of growth.” {Nike}
How the port strike will affect fashion
Ports on the East and Gulf coasts are closed due to a dock worker strike after the US Maritime Alliance and dock workers’ union, the International Longshoreman Association, failed to reach an agreement regarding wages. The strike began on Oct. 1 and has already caused more than 100,000 shipping containers to be delayed. Analysts estimate billions of dollars in losses across the fashion industry supply chain, as more than 50% of US apparel, footwear and accessories imports come through East and Gulf Coast ports. Bottega Veneta launches new fragrance collection
The first Bottega Veneta fragrance collection under Matthieu Blazy has arrived. The five-scent range draws inspiration from the house’s heritage in the global trade city of Venice, and features notes of historically traded goods hailing from all corners of the world, ranging from the Mediterranean to Somalia and Guatemala. Coach receives CFDA Innovation Award
Coach Creative Director Stuart Vevers will accept the third annual Innovation Award presented by Amazon Fashion at the 2024 CFDA Fashion Awards.
