Christopher Kane unveils Self-Portrait collection

Christopher Kane unveiled his collection with Self-Portrait as its first resident designer in London on Nov. 21. The collection references Kane’s first-ever collection, shown in Spring 2007. It features chainmail, satin and lace with crystal and ruffle details. “It has been an absolute joy working with Han [Chong] and his incredible team on the Self-Portrait Residency,” Kane said in a statement. “From the very beginning, the energy and creativity have been infectious, making this entire experience so fulfilling. I am thrilled to finally share with the world what we’ve been creating together. This partnership celebrates the spirit of collaboration, and I couldn’t be more proud of what we’ve achieved.” Prices range $45 to $950. The collection is available on Self-portrait.com, in the brand’s London stores and via select partners. Kate Moss releases Zara capsule

Kate Moss and stylist Katy England designed a party-themed capsule collection for Zara, inspired by Moss’ coveted wardrobe. Highlights include a 1930s-inspired tea dress, eye-catching patterns and bias-cut satins designed with day-to-night dressing in mind. François Pinault’s wealth falls by two-thirds

Kering founder François Pinault‘s wealth has fallen by two-thirds since its peak in August of 2021, placing him out of the top 100 on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index for the first time since 2012. Pinault now ranks in the 105th spot as Kering, which owns Gucci, Saint Laurent, McQueen and more reports its lowest annual profits since 2016. {Business of Fashion/paywalled}

Solawave fights counterfeit product sales with legal action

Beauty tech brand Solawave, known for its red light therapy devices, is fighting counterfeit product sales with Schedule A lawsuits. Schedule A suits allow one to protect their intellectual property by suing up to 500 defendants in one suit. Solawave Founder and CEO Andrew Silberstein wants counterfeit versions of his products off the market for more than financial reasons, as the fakes aren’t subject to the testing and safety requirements of authentic products, likely rendering them ineffective or dangerous. {Glossy}

Macy’s investigates a multi-million-dollar accounting error

Macy’s Inc. is holding its Q3 earning report until Dec. 11 as it awaits an investigation into erroneous accounting accrual entries that involved $132 to $154 million in small package delivery expenses that were intentionally and improperly reported. The errors were traced back to a single employee who has since been fired. The inaccuracy reportedly did not affect Macy’s cash management or vendor payments. {WWD/paywalled}
